Backround

Johan: My first motorbike was in 1983, a Suzuki ER50 which my father bought me for passing St 7. It was a very nice bike and when I sold it in 1985, it had just over 24 000 km on the clock. Then came the Suzuki GSX 250 which I had for just over a year. It was a great overall runner and I was sad when I had to let it go to make space for my first motorcar. Then came the Chinese bikes and scooters to SA and every second scooter you saw, was a Chinese import. I followed them and bought a Vuka 110. Great little scooter and great on fuel, gave me 42-45 km/l in town. Then all of a sudden Vuka became bankrupt. Regardless of this, you still see a lot of Vuka's on the road, still going strong. Then came the decision to upgrade a little, not much, still for commuting purposes and a little more reliability. I decided to fall back on my previous experience with Suzuki and bought the Suzuki GN125H, manufactured under license from Suzuki by a big Chinese motor corporation. Suzuki invest the capital and expertise and started to manufacture the GN series again. Nice little motorbike so far, easy to ride and light on fuel. My experience with the bike will be updated.
